There are three body styles you can get the Ford Ranger in – Regular Cab, Super Cab and Double Cab or crew cab. They are not all necessarily launched in the UK at the same time. The Regular Cab is the best for those who require a Ranger solely for work purposes. As a single cab pickup, this model has the biggest load space and payload but only comes in the entry-level XL trim.
We also sell the ford transit custom double cab

If you’ll occasionally need to hold passengers, you could opt for the Super Cab which has two rear seats and a rear-hinged door but very little space. For those who will be driving with passengers more frequently, then the Double Cab provides the full five seats and comes in the higher specifications.

How to finance a Ford Ranger

You may need a Ford Ranger in order to operate your business smoothly but may not have the sufficient money to pay for it. But this is okay because we have methods which enable you to pay monthly for your vehicle while only placing a low deposit.

Ford Ranger Lease methods include:

Van finance options:

  • Van Hire Purchase boasts a 130% Supertax incentive. VAT is paid upfront, credit is easier to get, but stable, cash-rich, VAT-registered companies are favoured. You own the vehicle after the last payment.
  • Van Lease Purchase is hire purchase with a balloon/large final payment. There are low monthly payments and possible discounts from some manufacturers. Tax benefits include lower corporation tax if the total vehicle price is taken against tax within a year, and a 130% Supertax deduction. You own the vehicle after the last payment.
  • Van Finance Lease allow VAT to be settled at any time with no penalties, not upfront in full. A 10% deposit is typical, with payments over a maximum of five years, and a final balloon payment. The vehicle has to be sold at the end of the payment term – and not to the original buyer. But this is overcome by Swiss Vans buying the vehicle and reselling it to you, among other methods.
  • A 12-Month Van Lease is rare, but Swiss Vans offers it to specific customers. Generally, it involves putting one payment down, possibly followed by 12 more. The vehicle is insured, comes off tax and must be returned after 12 months in the condition you received it.
  • Van Contract Hire is best for bigger firms wanting fleets of the exact same vehicles. Deposits are put down 3- 12 months in advance. The finance company gets sales profit at the end and you’re responsible for damage or excess mileage.
  • Long-Term Rental is another option, but expensive, with costs depending on the commitment period. Insurance is optional.
