If a great medium van with comfortable car-like driving, good fuel economy, and long loading length is something you are seeking, then consider the Renault Trafic.
Popular with catering, building, and healthcare professionals for its space, comfort and safety, the 2021 version of Renault Trafic comes with a 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine of up to 170 brake horsepower and optional 6-speed automatic gearbox, while the more powerful versions use twin turbochargers. (Note that the Trafic had a 1.6-litre dCi engine until 2019).
The Renault Trafic is dead sporty with its chrome grilles and styling, full LED headlights, dual function fog lights, C-shaped signature lighting and ergonomic dash. The 3 trims, Business, Business+ and Sport, are all well-equipped with features like LED headlights as standard (since 2019), have good road handling and comfy seats on long-distances.
The 3 Trafic body styles, Panel (3-seater), Crew (6-seater) and Passenger (minibus 9-seater) with variations including Platform Cab conversion and luxury passenger carrier SpaceClass (like a VW Caravelle) come in 2 lengths and roof heights giving you 4 variants to choose from. L1H1/SL (short-wheelbase, low roof), L2H2/LL (long-wheelbase, low roof), L1H2/SH (short-wheelbase, high roof) and L2H2/LH (long-wheelbase, high roof).
Renault Trafic is designed for comfort and safety with (depending on version) a smart mobile office, load-through bulkhead, driving assistance and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, connected to multimedia and optional EDC automatic dual clutch gearbox. If you handle difficult terrain, you can opt for Hill Start Assist and Grip Xtend. The Panel has a max payload of up to 1,240kg (8.6m3), the Crew, 1,132kg (4m3).
On the highest spec, you get swanky leather seating, climate control, rear parking camera, piano black front grille and 17-inch black alloy wheels. Although the standard Business model still comes with great comfort features like DAB radio/Bluetooth, USB socket, driver seat armrest, adjustable height and lumbar adjustment. And safety features like Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Hill Start Assist and Grip Xtend and deadlocking, plus ABS, electronic immobiliser, anchorage points and alarm.
7 Ways Of Van Finance
Most of our competitors tend to be leasing franchises that all sell the same “specials” that tend to be basic vans purchased at the same time by the hundred. Often the vans you are offered have sat around a while. They tend to prefer contract hire as it locks you into them for some time. We work via banks rather than by these franchises so we are not as tied in so can offer more of an array of van finance deals. This is why our vans are fresher and deals better. There is no leasing franchise taking a cut. All methods are tax deductible. All methods you should really have GAP Insurance Policy in case the vehicle is written off. Many commercial insurance policies will not pay new for old.
Lease purchase. Not always the best deal as some manufacturers offer discounts that cannot be used on lease purchase. Its just like HP but with a final payment and once it’s paid you get automatic ownership. It’s better once again for VAT registered businesses especially if you want a T6.1 for example to keep at the end and convert to a motorhome. Sometimes a pre registered van is cheaper.
Finance Lease – By far the most popular method as it attracts the lowest payments . It’s gets the largest discounts from manufacturers same as contract hire. However you can fit accessories many of which you cant n contract hire
Operational Lease – Is just like finance lease however you can hand back the vehicle at the end. Some of our Mercedes vans are like this
Asset Finance – We can finance many products not just vans
Credit Limit – Pre approve your van purchases 90 days in advance. Useful for example if you have a contract tender.
If you write a vehicle off in say year one the insurance company may well pay you less than the settlement value. Thus through no fault of your own you may need to buy a older cheaper van to reach the same monthly payment.
